Our Philosophy of Financial Planning

The success of our working together is dependent upon our ability to understand you, your relationship to money and your life values. It is Sally Jo's belief that the financial planning profession has failed, as measured by the serious decline in savings over the last three decades. What has been missing is the planners' ability to talk to clients about "goals," the motivation behind it all. Then, after initial implementation, planners have not known how to protect clients from sabotaging their plans with harmful decisions.

In the 80s, clients needed basic financial literacy and professionals delivered disguised sales and ineffective goal setting.

In the 90s, clients wanted to chase returns and professionals delivered assets under management.

Financial planning is different from other financial services (real estate, accounting, banking, insurance, securities) because it depends upon a trusting relationship. There are few topics as intimate in today's world as money. It is truly an honor to engage in this process with another. Not only can we support our clients' lives through financial management, but money can also be a portal to other areas of life.
