Business Continutity Plan Disclosure
Button Financial has a Business Continuity Plan outlining the response to
events that significantly disrupt business. Since the timing and impact of disasters
and disruptions is unpredictable, I will have to be flexible in responding to actual
events as they occur. With that in mind, I am providing you with this information
about my business continuity plan.
Our Business Continuity Plan I plan to quickly recover and resume business
operations after a significant business disruption and respond by safeguarding property,
making a financial and operational assessment, protecting the firm's books and records,
and allowing clients to transact business. In short, this business continuity plan
is designed to permit Button Financial to resume operations as quickly as possible,
given the scope and severity of the significant business disruption.
The business continuity plan addresses: data back up and recovery; all mission critical
systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with
customers and regulators; alternate physical location operations; regulatory reporting;
and assuring our clients prompt access to their funds and securities if I am unable
to continue business.
Shareholders Service Group and Pershing LLC, not only hold all funds and securities for clients, but
also backs up important records in a geographically separate area. While every emergency
situation poses unique problems based on external factors, such as time of day and
the severity of the disruption, Shareholders Service Group and Pershing advises me that its objective
is to restore its own operations and be able to complete existing transactions and
accept new transactions and payments within four hours. Your orders and requests
for funds and securities could be delayed during this period.
Varying Disruptions Significant business disruptions can vary in their
scope, such as my disability, the building housing Button Financial, the business
districts where Button Financial, Shareholders Service Group or Pershing are located, the cities where
we are located, or entire region(s). Within each of these areas, the severity of
the disruption can also vary from minimal to severe. In a disruption to only the
building, I will transfer operations to a local site when needed and expect to recover
and resume business within 30 minutes. In a disruption affecting any business district,
city, or region, operations will be transferred to a site outside of the affected
area, and mission critical business operations will be recovered and resumed within
one to four hours depending upon the extent of the disruption. In either situation,
we plan to continue in business. Clients are assured of prompt access to their funds
and securities.
For more information Any material changes to the above plan will be available
upon written request. If you have questions about Button Financial's business continuity
planning, you can contact me at 303-861-5290.
