Throughout her career as a Financial Planner, Sally Jo taught others.
She has been on the faculty at the College for Financial Planning, UCD,
Metro State Business Outreach, Metro State College Finance Dept., Regis
University, University Research and now the Society of Certified Senior
Advisors. Courses taught included insurance, financial planning, investments,
retirement and employee benefits, and CFP® exam preparation.
She has been on the continuing education coordinator/committee member
with the Financial Planners' Association. National speaking engagements
include the Institute of CFP Retreats and the Socially Responsible Investing
in the Rockies Conferences. She is a charter member of Nazrudin, and a
member of Pride Planners.
Early in her career, Sally Jo Button was selected by Money Magazine
(1987) as one of the best, most qualified financial planners in the U.S.
In the community, Sally Jo has been a charter member of the Women's Outdoor
Club, the Professional Networking Club, an officer for Rocky Mountain
Career Women and co-conductor of the Denver Women's Chorus.
In 1974, Sally Jo fell in love with her first Chocolate Labrador. Since
1979, she has craved a periodic litter of puppies. Kokopelli's Hopi has
been successful in the show ring, produced three beautiful litters and
is trained as a therapy dog. Besides breeding dogs, Sally Jo tends her
gardens, remodels her homes, and spends time with her octogenarian mother,
Blanche, and friends.
