Ask: “Am I
satisfying a need (food) or a want (gift or dessert) or a rush
(excitement/adrenaline)”
Ask: “Is
this really how I want to spend my money?”
Pause… answer…notice.

shame, no blame, there are no wrong answers.)
Explore you deeper
truths and you deeper self.

Ask: “I can have anything I need. I can

Notice your feelings and sensations.
Ask: “What is my body
telling me?

Exercise III
As you are preparing to buy:
Ask, “Does this purchase help
me become the person I want to be?”

Exercise IV
Now buy it:
Ask: “How am I feeling?”
Notice what happens in your body.
Ask: “What are the sensations
telling me?”
How did your decisions affect your
sleep that night?
Exercise V
Ask: “What is important
compared to what I do with my money?”
Ask: “Do I believe I don’t have
enough money for my lifestyle?”
Ask: “What do I you have?”
Ask: “How can I get to my next
step?”

Exercise VI
Ask: “In what areas of my life would
I like to be more aware of my cash outflow?”
List these items in a journal (examples:
travel, clothing, food, health, entertainment).
“Feel” into a number for each.
Monthly, review your list for the
previous month’s experience.
Do this again at the end of the
year for 2010.
